Abdel Halim Hafez Hologram Concert at Dubai Opera House

The stirring songs of Egypt’s legendary Golden Age singer, Abdel Halim Hafez, will be revived with a state-of-the-art hologram concert at the Dubai Opera House as part of their Eid al-Fitr celebrations on May 13th and May 14th.

The Dark Nightingale’s hologram will 'perform' many of the artist’s classic songs over 90 stellar minutes accompanied by a 28-person orchestra. The programme took five months to prepare with organisers reaching out to the late legend’s family members, composers, producers and publishers, as well as relevant government institutions in Egypt to obtain all the necessary permits.

The hologram made its debut in Cairo last April during a lavish concert at Heliopolis’ historic Baron Empain Palace, and will 'return' to the homeland for another tribute concert in June.
