Art Empowers, which has grown to be one of Egypt’s biggest art platforms, is celebrating the arrival of their new Sheikh Zayed branch with a mega exhibition featuring seven art masters and 40 of their most gifted pupils.
The platform was launched in October 2019 by Shaymaa Hesham and Ahmed Khaled, and offers courses and workshops to empower artists. Their art workshops target intermediate and advanced artists seeking to learn new techniques, nurture their talents, and form connections with the rest of the art community. Now, Art Empowers’ Sheikh Zayed branch unveils a dedicated studio and a new exhibit space - which means that the platform will be able to host events there year-round.
The ‘Empowering Generation’ exhibit spotlights some of Egypt’s biggest names, like Mohamed Abla, Hossam Dirrar, and Mariam Faried. “We’ve been working with Egypt’s leading artists and international artists for over two years,” co-founder Shaymaa Hesham tells #CairoScene. “Our permanent art studio is now in Arkan, and we have a new studio space and exhibition space. We’re hosting our upcoming mega exhibition where we’re bringing on masters and students to showcase over 150 artworks.”
Even though the exhibit features leading names, Art Empowers has committed to lower prices points to help emerging collectors with prices starting from EGP 500. Their new studio is located in Arkan Plaza’s new extension, and will open their doors for the exhibit from May 24th through June 7th.
