Kinda Alloush to Star in Egyptian Remake of US Series ‘Why Women Kill’

Kinda Alloush is scheduled to start filming ‘Bait al Maadi’ (‘House of Maadi’), the Arabic remake of the popular US series ‘Why Women Kill’ by Shahid VIP.

The original 2019 comedy-drama stars Lucy Liu, Ginnifer Goodwin, Allison Tolman, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, and Alexandra Daddario. Praised for its dark sense of humour and daring subject matter, the anthology series covers several deaths caused by women over different time periods - the 1960s, 1980s, and the present day -  and are committed in the same Pasadena mansion.

The Arabic remake will be directed by Mohamed Salama (who previously worked on ‘Tariq’, ‘Six Tape’ and ‘The Veil’) and written by Mahmoud Ezzat (who previously worked on ‘Paranormal’, ‘No Activity’ and ‘Al Anisa Farah’, an Arabic remake of ‘Jane the Virgin’), and will see Alloush joined on-screen by Injy El Mokkaddem, Tara Emad, Sabry Fawwaz, Enjy Kiwan, Mirhan Hussein, and Ahmed Wafik.
