Luxor Temple & Sphinx Avenue to Host Luxor African Film Ceremonies

The Luxor African Film Festival is about to put on a show this March, with a spectacular opening ceremony set to take place at Luxor Temple on March 4th, while the closing ceremony and awards ceremony will be set at the Avenue of Sphinxes, inside the Luxor Public Library Theater, on March 10th. The ceremony will follow in the footsteps of the Sphinx Avenue Parade, in the sense that it will honour this unique piece of cultural heritage that was only just restored and inaugurated last November.

True to its name, the Luxor African Film Festival will spotlight cinematic achievement across Africa, with the 2022 edition held in honour of Férid Boughedir, Tunisian film director and screenwriter. With decades of cinematic work behind him, Boudhedir is most recently known for his 2016 award winning comedy 'Zizou - Parfum de Printemps'.
