Green Innovation Competition Asks Young Egyptians to Save Environment

In a concerted effort to provide space for young people to think, collaborate and innovate, Egypt’s Ministry of Environment has announced the launch of the ‘Green Innovation’ competition.   In coordination with social non-profits, Drosos Foundation and FLDO (Future Lights Foundation for Development), the competition is seeking young trailblazers aged 21 to 45 to come up with small-scale projects to solve a large-scale issue: environment.

The competition is looking for projects that focus on the best ways to recycle plastic, wood and cloth.  The competition feeds into Egypt's Vision 2030, a large part of which revolves around the pursuit of sustainable development. The prizes range from EGP 5,000 to EGP 15,000.
