Knowledge Summit Tackles Global Issues in Webinar Series 'KnowTalks'

An offspring of Knowledge Summit, the KnowTalks Series has kicked off, with each session inviting guests from the region and beyond to address ‘knowledge issues’ and tackle opportunities and challenges associated with the session theme.

Organised by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program, the series feeds off the overall aim of the annual Knowledge Summit. Bringing together international and regional knowledge influencers, decision makers and thought leaders under one roof, the summit strives to underscore the importance of knowledge by promoting programs and ideas that help disseminate the awareness of knowledge around the world.

The series is born out of a vision to further create pathways for the dissemination of knowledge while contributing to achieving sustainable development on a global scale. It also aims to shed light on the challenges of creating and maintaining sustainable societies in the midst of a global pandemic. The series will also touch upon the foundational transformations brought about by the outbreak of COVID-19.

The series kicked off with a session titled, ‘Touring the World through Turning Pages’ with author, TED speaker and Royal Literary Fund fellow, Ann Morgan,  moderated by Brandy Scott, Presenter at Dubai Eye. The following week, the series continued with ‘Innovate or Die Trying: From the Mind of World Renown Hacker’ with Inventor at the Intellectual Ventures Lab and Founder & CEO of Komposite, Pablos Holmen, moderator Jessy El Murr, a certified media trainer.

KnowTalks is coming back this week on April 14th with a session titled titled ‘Covinnovation: The Pandemic as An Innovation Accelerator’ with Futrisit and founder of Thinque Think Tank, Anders Sörman-Nilsson, in a talk moderated by Maya Hojeij, Senior Business Presenter at Asharq News.

Registration is free, simultaneous translation is available  and audience members will receive certificates of participation.
