Power Restored After Media City Bombings
Several television stations were forced off air last night after six bombs damaged electricity pylons in Egyptian Media Production City.
After a bomb attack last night on two electricity pylons in the Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC) caused a power cut in the city, electricity has gradually been restored this morning.
Last night, six improvised bombs detonated near the two pylons, the latest in a string of bomb attacks in Egypt. There were no injuries reported, however, due to the bombs’ location in the media hub, several TV channels were forced off the air due to the power cut in the city. Channels such as CBC and Al Nahar were cut temporarily but as of this morning, power is being restored to the area and the television channels are back on air.
