Having spent over a decade building a platform for Egypt’s creative talent, the annual Creative Industry Summit has gone a step further in its aim to empower a particular segment: women.

‘She Strikes’ has been conceived as a female-centric platform that is designed to help young women to set sail into the working world. “The best thing about females is that they know exactly what they want and they’re very objective-oriented,” co-founder of Creative Industries Summit, Mai Salama, tells StartupScene. “So, we wanted to connect them with real gurus and leaders who have already made it, and create a pathway of inspiration between generations,”. With the launch of the first cycle of the ‘She Strikes’ platform, the ‘Leaders’ edition is set to bring in accomplished experts from every industry starting on May 24th.

The first cycle of strikers will bring interesting and inspirational talks with the most influential women that up-and-comers would love to learn from. Moving forwards, the event will be organised into three layers; virtual sessions, quizzes, then one-on-one meetings for four winners. And at the end of every cycle, there will be a big networking bash that they throw to celebrate. The event is going to be occurring throughout the year, as each striker’s round will last for a few weeks.
