8 STREAMABLE ARABIC SHOWS THAT LET YOU RAINSTORM & CHILL

We may be confined to our homes, but we won't surrender to boredom no matter what. In the face of the groggy rain and wind, there does exist a hero— and that’s the promise of a new series to binge. For your eyes and ears to enjoy during this difficult weather, here are our fav Arabic shows that are available online.

El Anesa Farah

The Egyptian remake of Jane the Virgin, starring Asmaa Abo Elyazeid, Ahmed Magdy, and Mohamed El Kelany. The series follows our protagonist, Farah, after she’s artificially inseminated by accident and becomes pregnant with the child of her boss. Terrible, but as you’ll see in this comedy series, also kind of hilarious.

Jinn

This Netflix original production follows the lives of everyday Amman teenagers— with a paranormal twist. After the group of friends accidentally summon both good and evil jinns while on a visit to Petra, they now have to figure out how to put the genie back in the bottle - figuratively and literally.

Nemra Etnein

This Shahid original drama explores the reality of modern romance in six Arab cities: Cairo, El Gouna, Beirut, Riyadh, Dubai, and Jeddah. The show stars Amr Yousef, Nelly Karim, Amina Khalil, Sherine Reda, and Mona Zaki.

Dollar

From the director behind widely popular series Al Hayba, Samer Berkawi, this Netflix original stars Adel Karam and Amel Bouchoucha. The action series follows our main characters as they chase a rare $1 bill that is quite literally worth a million dollars.

El Amir El Ahmar

Following the Palestinian revolution in the 70s, this Shahid original drama stars Taim Hassan, who portrays Ali Hassan Salameh, aka the Red Prince. Salameh was a member of the Palestine Liberation Organization and was the man behind the Munich Massacre of 1972.

Haza El Masa2

Available on Netflix, this series stars Eyad Nassar, Ahmed Dawoud, Arwa Gouda, and a long list of other television icons. This drama series follows two very different but connected plot lines: a successful businessman who cheats on his wife with his chauffeur’s cousin, and the chauffeur’s inner circle of hackers who use the hobby to coerce and prey on women.

F Kol Esbou3 Yom Gom3a

Starring Asser Yassin, Sawsan Badr, and Menna Shalaby this Shahid original follows the household of a mentally perturbed young man, played by Yassin, and the series of crimes he commits - but only on Fridays.

Mamlaket Eblees

Ahmed Dawoud, Ghada Adel, Rania Youssef, and other local favourites star in this Shahid original series, which follows the course of a small Egyptian 7ara in the aftermath of the death of its ruling don.
