Bedouin Heritage Village to Preserve Sinai Crafts in Sharm El Sheikh

The Ministry of Social Solidarity and the governorate of South Sinai have announced the establishment of a new Bedouin village for tourism in Sharm El Sheikh’s famous camel track.

The Ministry of Social Solidarity will bear the cost of establishing the Bedouin heritage village, in order to help preserve the local culture and train the population in traditional crafts.

As a city, Sharm El Sheikh has always been a popular destination for tourism, with potential for even greater investment in tourist activities, including recreational, environmental, and religious sites. The village will be established just in time for COP27, and is hoped to accommodate the influx of visitors arriving to Sharm El Sheikh for the environmental conference.
