EGP 1 Billion Allocated Towards Internet Efficiency in Egypt

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development has invested EGP one billion into developing internet efficiency across Egypt, as well as the country’s information technology and communications sector.

The budget is part of the ministry’s ongoing plan to empower Egypt’s ongoing digital transformation and use technology as a conduit for sustainable development. The ministry is also investing EGP 67.1 billion into Egypt’s information infrastructure at large, equipping various entities and organizations that are working on artificial intelligence, telecommunications, and information technology.
