Egyptian Judo Player Loses Olympic Match Because Of Wrong Costume

There must be nothing more disappointing than putting your life’s effort into a sport, getting invited to play at the most universally prestigious competition in the world and getting excluded for wearing the wrong attire.

This, sadly, is the way it went down with Egyptian Judo player Ahmad Abdul Rahman competing at the Olympics at Rio de Janeiro. Abdul Rahman was not provided with the standard Judo suit approved by the Olympics Committee, which objected to the player’s attire. Abdul Rahman was then forced to wear a suit with no Egyptian flag or Olympics’ logo.

As a result, Abdul Rahman’s coach was excluded from the game which directly lead to the athlete losing the match ten to nothing. Many on social media have been wondering about where the resources that should have been allocated for the official suit went and have been commenting on the carelessness reflected in such incidents.
