Here's How You Can Watch the Launch of Egypt's Nilesat 301 Tonight

Prepare for takeoff! Nothing gets space enthusiasts going like a good launch, and tonight SpaceX is set to livestream the launch of its Falcon 9 rocket from Florida into outer space. What’s so special about this rocket in particular? It’s carrying a special piece of cargo: Egypt’s own Nilesat 301 satellite, an all-new satellite that will replace the Nilesat 201 once it expires.

The Nilesat 301 will include 38 channels, compared to the 26 channels on Nilesat 201, and will cover countries from South Africa to the Nile Basin to ensure better communication for citizens across the continent, as well as improve broadband internet services in Egypt.

The launch will take place tonight, June 8th, at 5:45 pm ET (that’s 11:45 PM Cairo time), and can be streamed through SpaceX’s official website at spacex.com/launches/nilesat-301/
