India by the Nile Cultural Festival Returns to Bring Some Colour Back to Egypt

It’s time to pack up those winter jackets and throw on our colourful saris and kurtas! From the 2nd to the 10th of March, the Ganges will no longer be the only major river celebrating Indian culture. Considered to be the largest foreign festival in Egypt, the annual 'India by the Nile' festival is back and better than ever.

Showcasing the beauty and brilliance of India, there is no better excuse to come out and paint the town red, literally. The best of India will be on offer throughout the festival. You can discover India's deep and complex culinary history with celebrity chef Vikram Udaygiri who returns to cook up a fiery storm with sauces and spice and everything nice to blow your mind. You can also chill out and listen to Rajasthani folk music with internationally acclaimed Kutle Khan who will sing songs about love and war. There's even an opportunity to learn how you can break out into an impromptu Bollywood dance routine from choreographer Gilles Chuyen.

You can sign up to all these events on the India by the Nile website, and attend the festivities all across the country, including Cairo, Alexandria and Port Said.
