Luxury Sleeper Trains Take Off on Cairo-Marsa Matrouh Line

If you’ve ever wanted a luxurious train trip from Cairo to Marsa Matrouh and back, your golden opportunity is about to come rolling into the station. Starting June 24th, the Egyptian Railways Authority will begin operation of three Talgo trains - high speed luxury sleeper trains that first launched in Egypt in December 2022 - on the Cairo-Marsa Matrouh line, alongside five other air-conditioned trains.

The sleeper trains will run on Saturdays through Thursdays, while the other trains will travel on a daily basis.
