Ministry of Culture Cinemas will Soon Reopen

Get your popcorn ready because the Ministry of Culture has announced the reopening of its cinemas after a multiple-year hiatus. This news was dropped at a press conference in the Cairo International Book Fair to celebrate the announcement that Cairo was chosen as one of this year's Islamic Cultural Centre of the World by the Islamic World Organization for Education, Science and Culture (ISESCO).

Besides the reopening of the cinema, the Ministry detailed an awesome cultural and artistic line-up to celebrate Cairo's selection as an Islamic Cultural Centre that includes a competition to find the best photographer of cultural heritage sites in Egypt and performances in archaeological spaces in the city. Islamic Cultural  Centres are chosen for their historical heritage with a specific contribution to human cultures, and a place where manuscripts, libraries and research centres are found. Considering that our Qahera ticks all the above, it comes as no surprise that our beautiful city was chosen.
