Nancy Ajram's Husband Kills Thief in Self-Defence During Home Invasion

Nancy Ajram’s husband, Fadi Al-Hachem, shot a Syrian thief in self-defence after catching him during an armed home invasion at the Lebanese family’s villa at dawn.

Security footage shows the thief, who is reportedly named Mohamed Hassan Moussa, initially holding Al-Hachem at gunpoint. The thief asks for money and jewellery but is then shot dead after an exchange of gunfire, according to the voice-over by Ajram’s husband. The rest of Nancy Ajram's family and daughters are safe, and Ajram ended up with a minor injury in her right leg. Al-Hachem has reportedly been sent to the hospital.

Lebanese security forces have opened investigations into the incident, while Lebanese Prosecutor Judge Ghada Aoun issued an arrest warrant for Al-Hachem.

"My family and I are fine," Nancy Ajram said to a reporter from Lebanese channel MTV. "The most important thing is that my family and children are safe."

Several celebrities including Tamer Hosny, Ahlam Al Shamsi, Ragheb Alama and Wissam Hanna have since shared their sympathies and reached out on their social media accounts to wish Ajram safe.
