National Programs Launched to Prepare Egyptian Students for Job Market

The Ministry of Social Solidarity is launching a series of training programmes for undergraduate students to prepare them for the job market. The ‘Productive Student’ initiative aims to train 10,000 students and aspiring entrepreneurs during the summer break, from August to the end of September.

The training programme is set to encourage students to work and achieve financial independence from a young age. The training courses will cover feasibility studies, marketing, financial inclusion, heritage and artisanal crafts. The ministry will provide financial opportunities ranging from EGP 10,000 to 15,000 for each project, totalling 5,000 business ventures.

Similarly, the ‘Productive Student’ initiative - which launched two months ago at Ain Shams University - will be applied across 31 government and private universities. The courses will conclude with exhibitions of the project's products within each university at the end of the summer break.

Students interested in participating in the training can apply through the Social Solidarity units at their universities.
