New Payment App Allows Pay-Later Options for School Tuition

A recently launched payment app, backed by the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates, now allows greater flexibility to pay tuition fees in installments.

Made in collaboration between Direct Debit System and fintech start-up zenda, the zenda app is designed to improve the efficiency of payment collection options for educational institutions, while offering parents the flexibility to pay fees on a monthly basis. The app looks to move Emirati families away from the old-fashioned practice of bulk cheque payments.

In addition to tuition fees, families can explore other services such as transport and meal fees through the app, and customize recurring payment plans in order to manage household budgets more effectively.
