Siemens is Using Metaverse & AI to Bring the Future to the New Capital

Every now and then our collective vision of the future changes. Nowadays, the people selling the future are focused on two phrases: 'Artificial Intelligence', and 'The Metaverse'. As these two concepts flip industries on their heads, emerging from the realm of sci-fi to shake up how people do business, healthcare and even art, Siemens Egypt, Al-Attal Holding and Sigma have plans to bring these emerging technologies to the New Administrative Capital and create the first residential complex in Egypt to integrate them from the ground up.

The complex will come with a BMS control system for residential and commercial buildings, and a SCADA infrastructure system which will provide the control room with necessary data. The control room will be able to use AI to analyse the data, while metaverse technology will enable it to perform remote operation and maintenance. It's all very sci-fi and acronym heavy. The district is considered an important step towards a more efficient roadmap for digital transformation, and will help enable skills across the construction and real estate development sectors.
