Supreme Council for Automotive Industry to Guide Sustainable Transport

In an effort to fully shift to sustainable transportation, the Egyptian cabinet has approved a draft to establish a Supreme Council for the automotive industry. 

The draft includes approved funding for sustainable transportation projects. The cabinet also set some framework for the advancement of automotive projects in Egypt, and procedures to follow up on their implementation. 

Both the fund and council will have their respective leaders, with offices based in greater Cairo and anywhere else in the country. The appointment of said leaders would be made by the Ministry of Finance.
