UNICEF's 'Generation Unlimited' Initiative to Support Egyptian Youth

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has announced the launch of ‘Generation Unlimited’, a global initiative that will help advance opportunities for Egyptian youth aged 10 to 24, and help them gain access to improved education, training, and employment opportunities across multiple sectors.

The initiative has four main pillars: connecting schools in underprivileged areas with the internet, scaling up livelihood platforms, boosting entrepreneurial skills, and engaging youth as changemakers. Generation Unlimited has been advancing these principles in over 40 nations, allowing young people to become entrepreneurs, create opportunities for growth, and tackle pressing issues facing the world today.

UNICEF has already implemented several joint programmes with the Egyptian government to combat the negative social impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, including a cooperation with several stakeholders in the private and public sectors.
