Upper Egypt Receives Its First Free Children's Cancer Hospital

The Shefaa al-Orman Hospital has opened in Luxor, making its mark as the first free children’s cancer hospital in the predominantly rural area of Upper Egypt.

The hospital comes equipped with outpatient clinics, and is staffed with university professors in paediatric psychology. Their services include surgery, radiotherapy and atomic scanning, as well as a treatment where patients can receive chemotherapy and go home on the same day.
