Founder of Style Treasure Launches Online Boutique Platform Maw-d

If you’re a real champion of shopping local, then you’ve certainly heard of StyleTreasure.com. The first online boutique in Egypt, the platform was founded 13 years ago by former fashion journalist and PR specialist Mona Afifi. Now, Afifi is launching a newer, bigger, and better e-commerce platform— Maw-d.com.

“It’s pronounced like mode, the French word for fashion,” Afifi tells @SceneStyled. “I’ve been doing e-commerce ever since we had to explain to people what online shopping is. At the time there was only one online boutique in Lebanon, and none in Egypt. I learnt so many things the hard way during the past 13 years but this experience made me ready for Maw-d.com today.” 

The platform is pretty all-encompassing, offering products ranging from skincare, apparel, home collections, and accessories. But one of their most unique and exciting offerings is their ‘Maw-d Girls’ section, which is a specially curated selection of products and accessories specifically for teenage girls, whom Afifi didn’t feel could get their shopping needs met locally.
