Egyptian-Sudanese designer Nadine Suliman is a fashion force to be reckoned with. Having started her Instagram page ‘Queen of Ra’ for the purpose of upcycling clothes with hand-painted art, Suliman began venturing into Ancient Celestial-inspired garments in June 2020, riddling her pieces with cosmic motifs drenched in sequins.

“I honestly just feel so connected to my roots and inspired by things made five thousand years ago. It’s incredible the amount of knowledge and craftsmanship they had at the time,” Founder Nadine Suliman tells SceneStyled. “I’m trying to leave a legacy in the same way they did, for generations to come to see my work and know how it's not just garment construction but art.”

The pieces speak to our inner galactic goddesses. Composed of delicately draped silhouettes and metallic fabrics, the garments aim to capture a sort of ephemeral style that does not attempt to fit within the standard narrative of ‘RTW’. It stretches fashion to its fullest logical extent in an attempt to accommodate new waves of design unbeknownst to us.
