Islam Khalil Hypnotises Us With New Jewellery Collection

Here is a collection for all you boho babies, all you Dahab girls and boys, and especially all you aunties whose affinity for chunky statement rings runs deep. Islam Khalil’s newest collection, ‘Illusions’, is a hypnosis-adjacent silver-encrusted daydream. 

Often described as the brand for the free-spirited and independent, Islam Khalil’s designs draw inspiration from the soul-binding powers of nature, allowing their wearers to express themselves by delving into their surroundings and dropping their restrictive perceptions.

Having grown up amongst silver artisans, Khalil started dipping his toes into the jewellery design business at the age of 14. After years spent sketching, computerising, and manufacturing his designs, the budding jewellery designer had mastered the ins and outs of the craft, and with that realisation, began taking his passion further with a collection of cutting-edge designs. 

Khalil took on custom design requests from clients, and as he unravelled varied tastes, he found inspiration in juxtapositions. In 2015, Khalil managed to drop his first and best-selling collection to date - ‘The Sun Collection’.  

Enmeshed in the finest stones and hand-crafted silhouettes, Khalil’s designs intertwine traditional dexterity with modern geometric designs; simultaneously ensuring both his expertise and passion are in dialogue with one another as he captures his creative vision.
