Home should always feel like a warm embrace, and the designer behind this summerhouse on Egypt’s North Coast surely understood the assignment.

Sahar El Ghoul, founder of The Design Code and the designer of this home, was asked by its owners to create spaces that exude comfort and calmness, offering them a blissful haven to disconnect by the coast.

Located in Seashell, the design announces itself with a floor tile pattern that gradually expands and creates a U-shape with the landscape patches outdoors.

Pastel tones ground the interior with serenity as various types of natural wood, used on consoles and furniture, emit their fervent and organic hue into the home.

The decor used throughout the house is rugged, textured and covered with patterns and the occasional pop of colour, which are features that continue outdoors where a rhombus daybed sits in the corner of the garden inviting you to read under the Mediterranean sun.
