Health Ministry Develops Online Platform for People with Disabilities

The Ministry of Health and Population has partnered with the Ministry of Higher Education to launch a new digital platform that will offer Egyptians with disabilities increased support for healthcare services.

In addition to creating an integrated service cards system, the platform will enable users to set appointments for medical examinations, connect users with medical committees, keep a database of their history, as well as other services that will synchronise their healthcare needs with the digital realm.

According to the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS), as of 2020 there were 20 million Egyptians with disabilities living in the country. Earlier this month, presidential directives ordained the allocation of a state fund that would accept donations for Egyptians with disabilities.
