Sure some of us spend all our time at work and at home doomscrolling through Facebook or Instagram or Reddit or Twitter - but us in Egypt? We’re not THAT addicted. We don’t even make it to the top ten countries in social media usage! No, no, no. As a matter of fact, we’re only the 11th most social media obsessed nation in the world.

According to the report, Egyptians have spent an average time of 3 hours and 13 minutes per day in January alone, with the average demographic ranging from 16-64 years old.

This sustained growth in social media activity corroborates with the global shift towards digitization and ongoing demand for socially distanced and COVID-friendly work environments.
