Level Up Your Siren Girl Era With LAQUÉ’s New Body Care Line
Riding the waves of the 'clean girl’ trend, LAQUÉ’s makeup line attempts to capture the effortlessness witnessed by off-duty models.
Navigating the saturated pools of the skincare and makeup industries is akin to varnishing a wooden table only to peel it off and start over; the more you attempt to diverge the quicker you realise that the feat to remain different is nearly impossible.
That’s when local brand LAQUÉ enters the picture. With sheer passion for glam and its respective connotations, 20-year-old founder and creative director Farah Elkady honed in on her Applied Arts degree to deliver her newest body care line.
“I was a makeup artist all throughout highschool,” Elkady tells CairoScene. “It enabled me to differentiate between and to pluck out what made a good product and what didn’t. And that’s definitely something I always draw on when working on my own formulations.”
Rising to prominence in the thick of the ‘clean girl’ online whirlwind that drenched our instagram feeds in close up snapshots of Hailey Beiber, LAQUÉ’s makeup line attempts to capture the effortlessness witnessed by off-duty models.
Imbued with notes of chamomile, lavender and vanilla, their Siren Call line - as its name suggests - facilitates irresistible encounters. Their Eternal Sprout scent, however, strays away from its gourmand counterpart and provides a fresh alternative for those looking to keep the ‘clean’ aesthetic afloat.
