New Campaign Shows Why Egypt is a Bird Watcher's Paradise

Well apparently everybody's heard about the bird, the migratory bird is the word. Today is International Day of Migratory Birds, and to celebrate the occasion, the Ministry of Environment released a documentary on their social media pages, giving us an overview of migratory birds that comes through Egypt every season, without fail, over Suez,  Ain Sokhna, Fayoum, the Nile, the Red Sea, the Mediterranean Sea and more. From flamingos to falcons, to eagles and vultures, the documentary paints a picture of Egypt's history and its natural environment, showing us why it truly is a bird watcher's paradise.

The Ministry of Environment celebrated International Day of Migratory Birds at Jabal Zayt in the Red Sea governorate, where they highlighted their efforts to protect birds on their migration through Egypt in coordination with the Migrant Dove Fund, Bird Life International and the UNDP. The theme of this year's celebration was "The lights went out for the birds at night", highlighting the importance of cutting down on artificial light pollution to avoid disrupting these birds' natural behaviours.
