School of Egyptian Civilization Revived at NMEC After 20-Year Hiatus

The School of Egyptian Civilization, once an arm of the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir before it was stopped about two decades ago, will soon be revived at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

The school will target Egyptian university graduates and foreigners who have a passion for ancient Egyptian civilization throughout the ages. When the school will open exactly has not been announced yet.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is the first of its kind to be devoted to the entirety of Egypt’s national civilization, and is located in the archaeologically-rich area of El Fustat overlooking Ain El Seera Lake. It is most famously known as the final destination of more than 20 royal mummies that had been moved there during the Pharaohs’ Golden Parade.
