Sharm El Sheikh to Turn Its Hospitals Green With the WHO

The World Health Organisation’s office in Cairo has just announced a plan to build green hospitals in Sharm El Sheikh. noting that health facilities in Sharm El Sheikh will be ready to become environmentally friendly facilities by November - just in time for the COP27 UN Climate Change Conference.

With this new initiative comes a greater emphasis on overall healthcare facility improvement. Dr. Naima Al-Qusair, Director of the World Health Organisation office in Cairo, confirmed major developments in overall healthcare quality and reducing emissions and pollutants in her brief on the subject, stating that the health sector has an impact on thermal emissions, which should be addressed through greener facilities.
