Sheikh Zayed's Bibliothek is Egypt's Newest Artsy Culture Hub

Sometimes you don’t want to be the Belle of the ball. Sometimes you want to be the Belle from Beauty and the Beast gaping at a library and absolutely willing to date a giant furry monster to use it. What’s a little hairball between art patrons? Actualising those fantasies is Bibliothek, Cairo’s newest hub for those of you who want to get all cultured on the weekends.

Located in Sheikh Zayed’s Arkan Plaza, Bibliothek is a haven for all the culturally-sophisticated intellectuals out there. You can lose yourself amidst dedicated book alleys on fashion to Egyptology, literature and the latest bestselling novels, or in their dedicated gallery space which showcases art exhibitions regularly. Plus you can lay back at their cafe and ponder your raison d’etre over a cup of coffee.

If you don’t simply want to be a consumer, Bibliothek lets you be a creator as well with their working spaces and especially with their art workshops, which are headed by some of Egypt’s leading creative industry professionals. Keep your eye out for their next workshop from September 14th to September 17th, where photographer Ahmed Hayman will host a workshop to get you into camerawork.
