6 Ways Egyptians Are (Legally) Making Dollars Online

With internet usage on the rise in Egypt, we're already seeing benefits and reaping the rewards with countless positions added to the ever-growing job market. Traditional desk jobs are great, but in this new and rapidly expanding world they are not the only, or even always the best, way for earning your bread.

So whether you're a broke college student looking for a little extra spending cash to blow at your leisure or exhausted from the continuous depletion of the Egyptian pound and want to make dollars instead, do not fear. We've taken it upon ourselves to present you with 6 different ways Egyptians are making bank, while kicking back and relaxing in the comfort of their homes.

Amazon Mechanical Turks

Similar to Upwork, the brand new Amazon Mechanical Turk interface allows you to work at home as a freelancer, by performing small human intelligence tasks online, and getting paid for them. Tasks can range from creating the subtitles for a video to organising a company’s clients into a google spreadsheet. While on the website, new tasks will appear and you have the freedom to peruse through them and pick the ones that interest you. The best part is you get to pick your own hours, and anyone can do it, all you need is your laptop and an internet connection.

Trading Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin

A bit more risky than our first option on this list, but online currencies are slowly taking over the online scene. These three “online monies” can be bought on the internet at low periods, or troughs, and sold for a profit at peak times. In the last year alone, a single share of bitcoin has skyrocketed by 258%, going from $662 per share to $2,370. Not only can you trade these currencies instantly, but if you don’t have enough to buy whole shares, you can buy any fraction of a share you choose.

Online Tutoring

Online tutoring could be the future of education. Kids are getting even lazier, and driving all the way to your local tutoring centre just to get help with a single math problem on your homework list is becoming more and more unrealistic by the day. If you are a nerd who loves to do homework, or even just someone who is good at one specific subject and would like to share your intelligence, you could get a job on an online tutoring website. Companies such a Skooli, Tutor.com, and CourseHero are constantly looking for people to add to their team of online teachers. Applications are fully online, and can be found on each of these companies' websites. The best part is these jobs pay rather well, with salaries ranging between $15-$30 an hour for your troubles.

 Dropshipping

The hardest job on the list to master but the most lucrative if done correctly, drop shipping is a type of e-commerce where you can open up your very own online business free of charge. Using the website Shopify, you can create your own storefront to sell products. Where am I going to get these products you might ask? Easy, by using websites like DHgate and AliExpress you can find extremely cheap wholesale items, and send them directly to your customer when you receive an order directly from the wholesalers websites, without ever having to touch or handle the products yourself. Where am I going to get these customers you may ask? Using Facebook's new advertising interface, it is now easier than ever to purchase inexpensive ($1-$5) advertisements to promote your online storefront and the products you are selling. Some of the largest online stores today started off as tiny drop shipping businesses, and once again all the work can be done from behind a computer.

Writing, Design, and Video Freelance Websites

Are you talented with words and writing? Do you have any graphic design or illustration skills? Well companies such as Fiverr, 99 Designs, Upwork, and Problogger can be the perfect places for you to turn your abilities into big bucks. On these freelancer websites, companies, businesses, and individuals place ads for various tasks they need: such as writing short blog posts, translations, illustrations and logos for their own private business, or video edits and animations. By strolling down the website, you can take a look at the different tasks the employers have to offer, the price they are willing to pay for it, and when the due date for the assignment is. Complete a task for an employer, and get payed directly through Paypal, easy peasy.

 YouTubing

If you have knack for creating engaging or informative content, YouTubing may just be for you. A multi-million dollar industry that has given rise to countless stars, YouTube is THE online destination for video content. Anyone can sign up for an account and begin posting videos online, and although the money will certainly not come overnight, if your content is great, and you follow through with it, you could find yourself with a good amount of subscribers and sponsors in no time.
