EgyptAir to Resume Flights Between Cairo and Benghazi

Starting from April 18th, daily direct flights will be operating from Cairo to Benghazi via a modern Boeing 737-800 aircraft by EgyptAir. EgyptAir has announced that resumption of flights like this is meant to make way for trade exchange to take place between Egypt and Libya.

Cairo International Airport received its first flight from Libya's Afriqiyah Airways back in 2021 after a seven-year hiatus. This suspension occurred due to the political turbulence in Libya, which seems to be easing in recent times.
