Bahrain Edtech Playbook Acquires Women-Focused NFT Platform Queen Mode

Playbook, an edtech platform dedicated to supporting women globally, has announced its acquisition of Queen Mode, an NFT community for female entrepreneurs and executives in the UAE.

Launched in 2022 in Bahrain by Wafa Al Obaidat, Playbook delivers masterclasses by some of the region’s most successful women with the goal of supporting women in both their personal and professional lives.

Through this latest acquisition, the 220 members of Queen Mode will have access to Playbook’s resources, including 6,000 minutes of training, masterclasses, and workshop series.

"We are thrilled to welcome Queen Mode into the Playbook family," Wafa Al Obaidat , Founder and CEO of Playbook, tells StartupScene. "Witnessing Queen Mode advance through this pivotal milestone aligns seamlessly with Playbook overarching strategic objectives for expansion and influence. Together, we will continue to build a dynamic ecosystem that provides invaluable resources and connections for women worldwide."

As an NFT community in the Middle East, Queen Mode has organized and led numerous educational events both online and offline to support the professional growth of its members. With this union, the NFT community will expand exponentially to include over 4,000 women spanning 200 cities across 53 countries, and representing 26 diverse industries.

"Our vision for Queen Mode has always been to create a space where women can thrive professionally and personally," says Ghizlan Guenez, Co-Founder of Queen Mode. "We couldn’t be more excited about joining forces with Playbook which will allow us to amplify that vision and offer our community even greater opportunities for growth and development."

As Queen Mode transitions into playbook, members will have access to job boards, one-on-one mentoring sessions with industry experts, and funding opportunities through the network’s angel investors.

This is the latest in a string of acquisitions by Playbook. In February this year, the startup acquired WomenSpark, a network of angel investors aimed to support women on their career growth and entrepreneurial journey.
