Rami Malek in 'Advanced Talks' to Play Next Bond Villain

Now officially one of the most in-demand actors in Hollywood after his Oscar win for his acclaimed performance in Freddie Mercury biopic, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, Rami Malek is in negotiations to play the villain in the latest 007 film, Bond 25, opposite Daniel Craig, according to Collider.

Though details of the film, set to be directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, are scarce, it’s believed that the villain will be blind. Moroccan actor, Said Taghmaoui, of recent Wonder Woman fame, had revealed some months back that he was being considered for the role.

Sources close to the Egyptian-American actor have said that he initially rejected the role because his shooting schedule with Mr. Robot wouldn’t allow it, but it’s now believed that producers of the hit show have readjusted to accommodate what would be another huge role for the 37 year-old. Bond 25 is scheduled for release in 2020.
